| The twelveSECURE package enables you to take the first step in getting your business truly online, we provide a secure digital certificate for your domain name and company (this is shown as a little padlock in your browser when visitors browse your secure site) we can also enable a secure order collection facility. We have installed PGP which enables you to encode the orders taken via the secure form / script and send them directly via email to you. You can then use some software on your computer to 'decode' the orders and then process the credit card transactions. With the twelveSECURE package you may also use a third party to process your credit card orders immediately, such as Datacash, Netbanx or an online merchant like Royal Bank of Scotland. | ||

| > What is a Digital Certificate? | ||
| A digital certificate is issued to organisations who have proved legally they own the domain name and have asked for the secure certificate to be issued. A secure certificate is displayed commonly by a small 'padlock' symbol at the bottom of your web browser. If you double click on the padlock it brings up the information on who the secure digital certificate is registered to. This means you can buy in confidence that a) their website is handling your credit card details securely, b) the website you are buying from securely is the company that is displayed (i.e., it is Argos and not another company called Ar-gos who may appear the same). Customers expect their details to be transmitted securely, with a twelveSECURE package including a digital certificate you can be sure of this. | ||
| > Do you process the credit card details? | ||
| twelveNET does not process the credit cards. To process your customer's credit cards please contact your local bank or your bank's merchant center who will be able to advise you on taking credit cards over the Internet. If you do not have a merchant bank account you may want to use a company who just processes credit cards. For example, www.datacash.com is a very popular credit card processing company. | ||
